A quick litter disclaimer: I am super lucky to receive these products from Bzzagent, however, I will only provide my honest and hype-free thoughts.

[Review] Burberry Kisses Sheer Lipstick

Hi all,

If you read my recent Sephora haul, you know I finally got my first Burberry lipstick! I have been wanting to purchase one since last year, but I never got a chance to get it. One of the reasons was because Sephora does not carry the Burberry line in stores and it is really hard to find a beauty counter that carries them to test out the color. I know the Nordstrom in Vancouver and some The Bay carries it but it is very hard to swatch out the colors when the sales associate is just standing next to you and stare. To my understanding, the Burberry beauty line is quite new, there are not much swatches, reviews of the products which makes it even harder to purchase online. This time around, I decided to just go for it, so here's what I think about it.

Burberry has four different lipstick lines, there's the Kisses Lipstick, Full Kisses, Kisses Sheer, and Lip Velvet Lipstick. They range from $31~$38 CAD. The one I picked up was from the Kisses Sheer line in the color No.253 Pomegranate. Let's get started!

1) Special Ingredient

Infused with Burberry’s signature of rosehip, tea and lavender formula, the lightweight gel formula offers lasting hydration and flatters all skintones..

[Comparison] CoverGirl Oh Sugar! Balm V.S. Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment

Hello!

Happy Spring! There were so many new beauty product launch lately! This CoverGirl balm caught my eye right away. Honestly, I do not usually look at Covergirl lip products, because I remember the lipsticks were really drying for my lips. When I saw the name "Oh Sugar" vitamin infused balm, I immediately thought of the Sugar lip treatment from Fresh. ( I tried the Fresh sugar treatment awhile back, and I lost the tube already, I can only use the photo from Sephora.) Now that I tried out both lippies, I can tell you whether I think the Covergirl "Oh Sugar" is comparable to Fresh.

Let's get started...

1) Company Product Claims/ Ingredient
Both contains Vitamins C&E and grapeseed oil to act as treatment for softer lips.

Covergirl:
Treat your lips with colorlicious oh sugar! Vitamin infused lip balm.  With the help of grapeseed oil, avocado butter, and Vitamins C & E, it's only natural that this delicious smelling lip treatment leaves your lips soft and nourished with a hint of sheer color.

Fresh:
Sugar Lip Treatment blends reparative oils and waxes with real sugar, a natural humectant, for delectable and dependable moisture. Sweet and tart black currant oil, rich in plumping essential fatty acids, cushions the lips while antioxidant grapeseed polyphenols and vitamins A, C, and E provide protection from wrinkle-causing free radicals.

2) Texture/ Finishes

Both products glide on the lip easily without tugging, really feels like a nourishing lip balm! They both leave a slightly glossy finish; however the glossy look goes away after awhile.Even when the glossy finish go away, they both leave a tint on the lips and they both don't dry out the lips through out the lips. Both company did not claim for long wear, and it's understandable that the balmy feel goes away through out the day! Now, something different between the two...

CoverGirlI find that when I first apply this, I can feel some "sugar particles", like I just at some granulated sugar. The "sugar" disappear after a few minutes. I find that the color payoff is more buildable with the CoverGirl balm. There are 10 shades to choose from in the line. I'm going to insert a swatch photo of the colors, I found this picture on Budgetbeautyblog.com because I only own #9 Jelly.

covergirl oh sugar lip balm swatches
Fresh: It does not have the "granulated sugar" feeling. The colors from the collection are pretty sheer.  I also find that the moisture stays a bit longer with the Fresh balms. Something different is that these lippies have SPF 15, making this product not only treating your lips but also protecting them. It has 12 colored shades and 1 clear balm to choose from. I tried both the Rose and clear. Here I am inserting a photo from Cuteandmundane.com, the swatches do not include the whole collection either.

3) Scent
In my opinion they smell/ taste the same! They both have a citrus/ lemon scent. If you accidentally lick you lips, they both taste really sweet. The scent doesn't bother me, I am so glad the Covergirl one does not smell like plastic.

4) Packaging
Surprisingly, the packaging was not the reason why I thought the two brands may be comparable. The Covergirl one comes in their usual lipstick packaging, a squared, rectangle tube. Whereas the Fresh one comes in a cylinder tube, you have to twist/(screw) on the lid. I think Fresh has better packaging, especially for those who likes to carry their lip products with them because no matter how your lip products move around in the bag, the lid will not come off. I am not saying that the lid for the Covergirl comes off easily, but there is the possibility because it is just a simple click on lid.

5) Prices/ Accessibility
CoverGirl: .
$ 7 CAD 0.13 oz
From walmart/ Shoppers Drug Mart/London drugs/ drugstore

Fresh:
$28 CAD 0.15oz
Sephora

Overall
I find that both products works pretty much the same! The scent, texture and finishes are almost identical. The major difference for me is that the color tint for the Covergirl stays longer and the moisturizing feeling of the Fresh stays longer. Fresh is about 4 times more expensive than Covergirl. I really enjoyed both balms, if I want to purchase another one, I will try and see if I can find a color from the Covergirl line first. However, buying lip products at the drugstore is tricky, because you usually can't test the color on the lips (sanitary reasons), and swatch a color on the back of the hand is totally different than swatching on the lips! I would recommend both brands, it's up to you to decide what you want from the balms, longer lasting tint? or longer hydration?

That's all for today, have you tried either of these products? Which one do you like better?  Also, let me know what you think about comparison posts, and let me know what other product comparisons you want to see.

Yours Truly,

Ting

[Review] Biore Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub and Pore Cleanser

Hello everyone!

Today I am sharing with you my review of the new Biore Banking Soda Cleansing line! I tried out the Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub and the Baking Soda Pore Cleanser. I received the products complimentary of Influenster; a product review program, however, all opinions are my own. Baking soda has always been known for deep cleaning, there are so many DIY cleanser for face, clothes, anything revolving baking soda on Pinterest. Last year, baking soda was featured in many Asian makeup/ skincare brands; for example, Etude House has the baking powder face cleansing line too! Anyways, I'm excited to see the Baking Soda cleansing line from Biore, because it is much more accessible for us in North America!

Quick Notes on my skin
  • Sensitive
  • Dehydrated otherwise normal
  • Occasional oily t-zone
  • Occasional flaky nose

Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub

It starts with just powder, then you add water to it. It turns into foam like magic!! It has a minty scent when I use it, not tingly but the scent is really refreshing and not overpowering. After I rinse off my face, my face is really soft, I literally feel like I have a clean face! It also wakes me up! The scrub is very gentle but it works!

A few downside though, it took me a bit longer to make sure I rinse my face thoroughly. What I meant was, my face feels slippery so I wasn't sure if there was any residue. Also, after I pat dry my face, my face feels a bit dryer than usual. It does not bother me too much because I use this once a week for a deep cleanse plus I moisturize after I cleanse anyways!

Baking Soda Pore Cleanser

I love a good pore cleaning cleanser! I love the little scrubbing beads, they are so gentle but I can totally feel them working. It has a refreshing scent which helps to wake me up in the morning. This is a great daily morning cleanser for me. It is also great for anyone who applies moisturizer or makeup in the morning. First, it cleanses out any residue makeup from the night before. Second, it allows my skin to absorb the moisturizer much better. Third, it allows my foundation to go on smoother and not flake off.

I usually like to remove my make up with my night time cleanser. I don't recommend using this to remove residue makeup, especially on the eyes. It stings!!!!!!!! I will continue using this as a day cleanser and not use this around the eye area, other then that I really like it!

This is marketed for combination skin, so I let a mystery tester (aka. Mr. A) try it out too.  He like that there's no perfume scent to it. It made his skin feels awake and refreshed. He also commented that his face does not feel dry after using it. He has combination skin so it works even better on his skin!

Prices/ Accessibility.
Scrub: Around $12 CAD 128g
Cleanser: Around $8 CAD 200ml
From: London Drugs/ Shoppers Drug Mart/Walmart/It's everywhere!

Overall
I really enjoy both of the products. While I do not have significant combination skin, both products still worked well on my skin. Extra moisturization is necessary after deep cleansing, so even though the scrub dried out my skin a bit, it does not bother me that much. If you have really dry skin, I don't think this product is right for you, at least don't use this too often. I really appreciate that there are no chemical/ perfume scents to both of the products, I will continue using the scrub, once every week or every two weeks depending on the weather and my skin condition. As for the cleanser, I will only use it in the morning, maybe once every two day because I have other cleanser to go through!

Have you tried any of these products before? Let me know what you think!

Yours Truly,

Ting

[Review] Lise Watier HydraForce Hydra-Protective Comforting Creme

Hi!

I enjoy exploring new skincare products! I was so excited to try the Lise Watier Hydra Force Comforting Creme. I received this product for free from Glam Sense to test it out but all opinions are my own. I have been trying this product out for a couple of weeks now and today, I want to share my opinion with you!

Quick Notes on my skin
  • Sensitive
  • Dehydrated
  • Occasional oily t-zone
  • Occasional flaky nose

Let's get started!

1) Company Product Claims
It claims that the skin is fortified, protected, soft, smooth and radiant. The new Canadian line of weatherproof moisturizer. Instrumental measurements prove that skin is 3X more hydrated

2) Special Ingredient
The formula’s effectiveness lies on the remarkable power of Gaspé Algae Extract. A survivor of harsh environments, the Gaspé algae has developed a highly efficient resistance system, enabling it to thrive in severe conditions. Its extract guarantees the skin’s global hydration, transforming it into a veritable defensive shield.

3) Formula

The creme is light weight, not thick at all, absorbs into the skin easily, and quickly. The formula is not running, easy to spread around the face and massage into the skin. My skin feels hydrated and moisturized after application. One thing I really like is that it does not give me the sticky, oily feeling after I applied. This product is marketed for dry to normal skin, but I think it is even suitable for people who has slight oily skin. As for my sensitive skin, I am happy to report, my skin have no reaction to this product!

4) Scent
It has a slight scent to it. I wouldn't say it is heavily fragrant because the scent is not obnoxious, and the scent goes away after application. The scent does not bother me at all even though I usually prefer moisturizer that is un-scented.

5) Packaging

Honestly, I find it amusing that every moisturizer I've used, that claimed "hydration", all have similar packaging. They usually have blue container with a white cap or just blue packaging. This packaging is really nice, the container itself is made with glass and it also has a stopper underneath the lid. The size of the container fits perfectly in my palms, considering my hands are pretty small. This means that it's easy to hold in your hands while you are grabbing the products. This is important for me, because the product can easily slip out of my hands if it is hard to grasp.

6) Prices/ Accessibility.
$ 45 CAD 45ml
From: London Drugs/ Shoppers Drug Mart/lisewatier.com

7) Hydration Tool and APP

This Hydration Tool and App is really fun and cool. After downloading the Hydra-Detect App on your phone, just plug the little too into the headphone jack. Gently press the sensor (the 2 little wings) onto your skin and wait for a little audio alert. Then the screen will show you the hydration level of your skin. If it is below a certain level, it will ask you to apply the cream and measure it again. You can see an instant change on the hydration level. It is fun to play with the app once or twice but honestly, I wouldn't use this reguarly. The little graph at the bottom shows you the change in your skin's hydration level from the last time you measured. However, the graph is quite vague and does not tell you much about the skin.

Here's a couple of the screenshots from the app:

Overall
Honestly, if it was not for the Glam Sense program, I would probably not hear about this product. So I am thankful for the opportunity to try out this cream. I truly love it and I have been talking to my friends about this creme after the I first started using this on my skin. I notice the difference in my skin's hydration level, especially the way my foundation apply on the skin. My skin does not flake as much as I did before. Also, the dryness on my skin improves every week as I use the cream, I can't wait to compare my skin a month from now. This is such a great product for anyone who needs extra hydration! If you want to learn more about this product, you can search using #GetIntheBubble

I attended the HydraForce event on March 4th, and I got to try out other products from the HydraForce line. I try the gel cream and the lip balm from the same line, I purchased the lip balm right away, and is loving it!! That's all for today, stay tune for the review on the lip balm in a few weeks.

Yours Truly,
Ting

[Review] Chanel Sunkiss Ribbon Blush

Hello!

You might have saw this product from my birthday haul on Instagram. I saw this in a magazine around Christmas and I ordered it for my birthday gift from Holt Renfrew before it was launched. I was so happy to finally see it in person! Let's get into it.

The packaging is like Chanel's usual black box. When you open it, there's two velvet pouches. One of it contains the blush itself, the other contains a small angled blush brush. I like how the brush is not in the compact. It means I get a bigger pan, which allows me actually dip my blush brush in the pan.

The brush is in pretty good quality. It's an angled blush brush. Even though it is really tiny, but I usually save it for my travel makeup bag. The brush allows you to be very precise of which color you pick up because this blush contains five different colors.

This blush has the "interlaced-ribbon" design, hence the name. The "ribbons" are made up by five beautiful colors. Including a pale pink, fushia pink, rose, beige, and coral/orange, color. When you look in the pan, it looks like there's shimmer/ glitters. However, when applied on the cheeks, it leaves a radiant, satin finish. The texture of the blush is really smooth and soft. The powder is finely milled, very good quality! They lasted on my cheeks for a decent amount of time, sometimes I forget I have it on until I removed my makeup and saw the pink/ orange color on the cotton pad. (sounds so bad)

Now about the colors:
This collection is inspired by the L.A. sunrise, the color in the pan really reminds me of sunrise here the sky is filled with different colors, warm and cool toned. Like I mentioned, it is made up of five beautiful colors, you can use them separately or swirl them together or swirl only a couple colors together. I like them swirled together, it gives me a beautiful everyday appropriate color. Here is a swatch picture of the blush colors. The colors are quite pigmented when I swatch with my fingers. However, if I use a blush brush, the color does not go on that heavy, it is buildable like any other Chanel's powder blushes.

Left to right: orange, pale pink, fushia, beige, rose, all together.
Please excuse the background color, I had to make the picture darker so the color is more visible on my arm.

One thing I don't like is the scent. When I opened the box, it has a really strong scent I couldn't even describe, till now I can still smell it on the blush and the packaging. I can't really describe the scent but it's not something I like. Another thing that bother me is that I love to swirl all the colors together, but if I continue, the pen will no longer look as "clean" as it is now! I mean, you won't be able to get a clear swatch of individual color, because colors will "contaminate" each other. But that is for me to worry about in the future.

Product Detail:
Collection: Spring 2016 L.A. Sunrise Collection
Price: $57 CAD
Available: The bay, Nordstrom, Holt Renfrew
I believe it is limited edition

Final thoughts...I think this product is amazing. It allowed me to try on different colors with just one blush. The price is reasonable for me, because to me, it feels like I bought 6 blushes for $57, plus the good quality. I really recommend anyone who loves collecting blush palette to get it, even if you don't use it, it's so beautiful to look at. If I can't watch sunrise in LA in the morning, at least I have the palette to look at. I also recommend this to people who are new to blushes, because you get to try out so many colors and the color is buildable so you can't really mess it up. (I feel as if I'm talking about myself!)

Yours Truly,

Ting

[Review] Cover Girl Full Lash Bloom Mascara

Hi everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian readers!!

Today I have a mascara review to share with you. It is the Cover Girl Full Lash Bloom mascara. Disclaimer: I received this free from Bzzagent to try and provide my honest opinion, this post is not sponsored.

Let's get started...

Here's a little company description,
Cover Girl Full Lash Bloom Mascara by Lash Blast - Soft, full lashes that are never stiff or brittle. New petal shaped brush and soft, mousse formula, with natural beeswax, brings out every lash. Ophthalmologically tested and suitable for contact lens wearers.

My Lashes
I have decent length lashes, but they are stick straight. Every time I curl my lashes and put on mascara, my lashes fall right down and becomes stick straight again. It usually takes me a long time to use mascara and achieve the look I want.

Packaging

It comes with a beautiful bright fushia pink tube, the shape of the tube is same as the other 3 mascara from the lash blast line. It has little flowers printed on the tube. The packaging is very girly and it makes me happy.

The wand

I love that Cover Girl separates the actually mascara from the wand in its store packaging. I can see clearly what the wand bristles look like and feel the bristles without getting mascara on my hand. The  bristles are made of rubber and are very flexible. I like that the wand is not too thick, this give me better control when I'm using the mascara close to my lash line.

Formula

First time using this mascara, the product is quite wet. But from my previous experience with the lash blast fusion mascara, this formula gets better with use. I find that the formula in this mascara is quite different from the lash blast fusion, this one has a more airy, not as dry consistency.

Application/ Result
This mascara is so easy to apply with the perfect sized wand, I can apply it close to the root of my lashes without getting mascara on my lids. My lashes became visible with one coat. With two coats it achieve the soft, voluminous , natural looking lashes. I also tried the third coat, it gives more of night time looking lashes. I would probably stay with 1~2 coats though because I like more of the natural look. Another great thing about the Full Lash Bloom is that even with multiple coats, my lashes never look stiffed, and they don't feel stiff when I touch it. There were no clumps and definitely buildable.

Top photo: with and without the mascara comparison

Wear Time
The one I tried is not a waterproof mascara. However, it lasted more than 9 hours on my lashes, from school to work without any rain, tears. Something I noticed is that there were no flakey fall outs on my lids, around my eyes nor in my eyes. No smudging and no transfer.

I would give this product a....

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I gave it a 5/5 because even though it didn't hold my curl after applying the mascara. The product didn't claim to hold curls, plus it does not have a waterproof formula. Even most of the high end mascaras doesn't hold them. I really have nothing bad to say about this mascara, I think it's better than some of the high end mascara I tried. Lash blast is really one of my favorite mascara lines. Thank you Cover Girl and Bzzagent for the wonderful mascara.

Yours Truly,

Ting.

[Review] Laneige Sleeping Lip Mask

Hi

While I was reading Vogue Taiwan, I saw them featuring a new sleeping lip mask from Laneige. Honestly, I was not familiar with the brand except that their cushion BB foundation is super popular.
I was really curious about this product, since I always have dry lips. So I picked it up from SOGO (a department store). I think I paid around $700 NTD or less, which was about $29 CAD

To my understanding, Laneige is a Korean brand that carries both skin care and makeup line. They are known for the Cushion BB Cream, sheet masks and skin care products.

Here's a brief description from Laneige. This product has 2 major benefits.
1) The Moisture Wrap: It locks in moisture by packing hyaluronic acid and their exclusive technology.

2) Berry Mix Complex: This lip mask contains raspberry, cranberry, strawberry and blueberry that are rich in vitamin C to treat dry flakylips.

I have been using this every night since I came back to Canada, which was about 3 weeks ago. As the weather gets colder in Canada, the air has become more dry. I would apply a thick layer of the lip mask on my lips before going to bed. When I wake up, I can still feel the mask on my lips, so I would use a cotton pad to exfoliate my lips a little. Then my lips becomes soft and not flaky. I would still use a lip balm in the morning and I have notice a huge difference!

The Product

The product itself is pink, maybe from the berries( hopefully!) I can taste the strawberry. Which is nice because some unscented lip product straight up tastes like plastic. The texture is just like a balm and it is not sticky.

The Packaging

The jar is also pink. It comes with a spatula, for convenience and sanitation reasons. The jar is make of glass and it is a little heavy to travel with.

I also want to add that, when I purchased mine, they were having a promotion for applying membership. So I got a small travel/ sampled size with my purchase of a full sized. After 3 weeks, I am still using the sample one, and I barely created a dent on it. There for a little does go a long way, I wonder how long it will take for me to finish the full size.

I believe this product is fairly new, at least it is launched this year. However, I  couldn't find this product in any physical Canadian Stores, but it is available on Amazon.

This is going to be a...

❤️❤️❤️❤️.5

I gave it a 4.5/5 because I really like this lip mask but I wish it comes in a smaller size so I don't have to worry about the product going bad before I finish it.

So this is my review for the Laneige Sleeping Lip Mask. I hope you like this review, let me know if you have heard about this product or have you tried it before?

Yours Truly,

Ting

[Try It Out] Ole Henriksen, YSL, Urban Decay, Chanel

Hi,

Here's another post on small samples I tried. This time I'm using the photo of the actual product instead of the sample size, I think this will be more helpful. Let's jump right in:

1. Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation

Photo from Sephora.ca
This is an oil free perfecting creme. It claims to be oil-free, lightweight moisturizer that nourishes skin as it gently exfoliates and fades dark spots.

Unfortunately, I had an allergic reaction with this product. My face was really red, but it got back to normal after two days of  not using this product. I'm not sure what ingredient caused the allergic reaction but  if you have sensitive skin like me, I suggest staying away from this .

Price:  $18( 0.5 oz), $48 (1.7 oz) , $78 (3 oz)
Rating: 1/5 ( It really is oil-free)
Would I purchase it: 0/5( it doesn't work for me)

2. YSL Rouge Pur Couture Vernis À Lèvres Glossy Stain – Rebel Nudes

Photo from Sephora.ca
This product clams to be a revolutionary nude glossy stain with all-day 3D luminous effect.
The shade I tried out is 107 Naughty Mauve rose mauve. It's a nice neutral pinky mauvey color. I like that that is not too sticky. It smells nice like any other YSL lip product, it has the same floral scent. Since it is a stain, I expect it to be long wearing. After drinking and eating, the gloss came off but there's still hints of color on the lips. I don't think it is actually all day long wearing. However, it is not drying at all, some glossy stains becomes drying after the gloss wears off, but this one does not dry out the lips.

I think this product (at least this shade) is suitable for people who wants to experiment with lip stains but does not want the super bold or pigmented lip stains. It has a natural hint of the color, but feels like a lipgloss with extra color.

Price: $38 0.2 oz
Rating: 4/5

Would I purchase it: 4/5

3. Urban Decay- Revolution High-Color Lipgloss

Photo from Sephora.ca

This is a high-coverage, ultra-pigmented lip gloss. I tried it out in the shade Bitter Sweet, which is a bright purple as you can see in the picture above. Unlike the YSL glossy stain I just talked about, this one is highly pigmented with bold colors. I am less familiar with this types of lip product because I am not a big fan of pigmented lip gloss. This is similar to a liquid lipstick. The only difference is that it does not dry out, it always have the gloss on that feels "wet". I find that this formula is quite sticky, I had to be really careful so that my hair does not get caught on the gloss.

This is my first time trying a purple lip, I'm not quite sure about this color. Maybe because it is too bright! I think this is a pretty nice lip gloss, just not for me. I'll give the other shades a try too, maybe it's just the color.

Price:  $26 (0.17 oz)
Rating: 4/5
Would I purchase it: 2.5/5 (not this shade)

4. Chanel-Hydra Beauty Creme

Photo from Chanel.com
The following products are from the recent Chanel skin care line. This beauty cream is supposed to provide hydration, protection, radiance. The company says that this product is the embellishing moisturizer for women in search of intense hydration backed by advanced antioxidant protection. It helps protect their beauty and restore their skin's radiance, while delivering absolute comfort.
I find this moisturizer too sticky. It does not absorb as quickly nor easily as I expected. I am not a big fan of the scent.  Unfortunately, it broke me out on the forehead and the chin. My face was really itchy after using it. I am not sure what ingredient caused this because I don't recall seeing "alcohol" in the ingredient list.

Price: $90 (50 g)
Rating: 1/5
Would I purchase it: 0/5

5. CHANEL-Hydra Beauty Micro Serum

Photo from Chanel.com
Here's a description from Chanel.
The first serum composed of camellia micro-droplets is based on an exclusive patented technology derived from Microfluidics. This revolutionary technology makes it possible to create a formula containing droplets of active ingredients whose purity remains intact until the moment of application.
It claims to continuously hydrate for 24 hours and perfectly protect the skin. Unlike the moisturizer, I really enjoyed this serum. It is moisturizing, not sticky. I can't tell if it keeps my skin hydrated for 24hrs. I usually use this at night before bed, I did not wake up with a dry face.  I'm not sure if I am going to purchase this right away because of the price tag but I also have other serum this does the same thing.

Price: $125 30ml
Rating: 4/5
Would I purchase it: 2.5/5

Okay, that's everything I have for this post. Have you try something new recently? What else should I try next?

Yours Truly,

Ting

[Review] Schick Hydro Silk TrimStyle

Hello!

Today I have something a little different to talk about! I received two Schick Hydro Silk TrimStyle razor and bikini trimmers from Toronto Beauty Reviews and Writing Whimsy.

I think it is a great concept, having the trimmer on one end and the blades on the other. It makes it easier to travel too.

The Razor

This razor has 5 sharp blades, the white dots along the rim of the blades are moisturizing beads. They add moisture when it touches damp skin which makes the skin smooth after shaving. I love their blades, it does not irritate my sensitive skin. Because the blades are so sharp, you don't need to go back and forth on the skin, so it decreases the chance of ingrown hair, razor burns and bumps.

The little white bumpy thing located right before the blue handle is actually a stand for the razor, so when you put the razor down the blades are not touching the surface. This is beneficial when you are air drying your razor after u

It's recommended that you replace the razor every 3 month, this razor is compatible with other Schlick Hydro razor replacement heads.

The Trimmer

The trimming side was interesting, I was not familiar with it at first ,but it is not as scary as it looks. The little cap allow the trimmer to have 3 different trim level for different hair length. This side is also fully waterproofed even though it requires a battery. The set came with a battery!

One thing that needs improvement is that I wish the blades came with a lid.

I'll give it a 4! I think it is a cool concept. This 2 in 1 Silk Trim style allow you to use a razor and a trimmer on the same device.  I like the razor more than the trimmer, I don't really need or use a trimmer.

You have to try it out and let me know what you think! Therefore, I will be giving away the extra set of Schick Hydro Silk Trim Style in my upcoming giveaway.

Yours truly,

Ting

New Series+ Updates!

Hello!

I am going to start a new series called [Try it Out]. I was going through my makeup/ skin care stash and realized how much sample packs I have been hoarding. I love getting samples to try things out, but sometimes there are just too many that I end up forgetting them.

Look! This is just half the stash I own....

I went through everything, threw away the expired ones and put the rest together. I then have an idea to start a new blog post category. Since those samples are tiny, usually not enough to do a full review, I will do some first impressions, or mini review if I have enough product. I will then tell you whether I think it is worth it to get a full size and test the product out more. I will post at least once each week, depending on how big the samples are.

I am excited for this, I can finally put the samples through the test! Let me know if this is something you want to see. If you have a better name for the category, let me know too! I'll try to think of a better and more creative name. See you soon in the upcoming posts.

I know I have not been posting as often. I have been traveling and it is also the mid to end of the semester in my school, which is super busy! However, I am still posting on Instagram (@judyy116) and Twitter (@jtingsdiary). Follow me there to get updates, mini hauls, food photos!

The post on my Seattle Trip and Seattle haul is coming, I promise!! It makes me so happy that someone is messaging me and asking why those posts are not up yet! Thank you!!

Yours Truly,

Ting
