March 2016 Favorites

Hello April!

The weather has been great the past few weeks here in Vancouver!! I feel like it's time to change up my makeup. skin care routine!! April is going to crazy, finals are coming up but it also mean Summer is coming!!!! Anyways, here's what I have been loving in March.

Simple Replenishing Moisturizer

Sometimes, all you need is the basics.  I like how sanitary it is, I don't have to dig my fingers in the products. I love how there's no scent. It is also not greasy,  has no after feeling. However, it does get its job done. Long story short, you put it on ->you won't feel that it's on but you see the results. I have sensitive and dehydrated skin, I find that it absorbs quickly into my skin, and my face does not have any reaction to it. I really enjoy a more lightweight, liquid-y formula especially in the mornings and also during warmer days!

Available at drugstores, Walmart
Price: Around $13 CAD (Depend on where you find it)

Urban Decay Eyeshadow-Sin

I have been using single eye shadow color on the lids later.  Sin is a pinky champagne shimmer color that I can easily wear. It has more of a metallic finish rather than glitters. It acts as a highlight to the lids and make my eyes look more awake. I usually dust it lightly on the centre of my lids, blend it out, line my lash line and I'm good to go!

Available at Sephora and Urban Decay
Price: $22 CAD

Estee Edit by Estee Lauder -Pore Vanishing Stick

This is a new line at Sephora, it is a more contemporary line for Estee Lauder. This is in the top left of the picture. Mine is in a deluxe sample size. I used a Sephora coupon code when I ordered the Sephora Favourites Kit earlier. It is a Pore blurring primer stick. When you take off the cap, it has a skin color core and the outer layer is white. When I put it on my skin there's no color transfer but it does minimize the look of my pores and makes my skin smoother for foundation. This is so easy to use and so easy to travel with. I have been using this almost every single day. It is also good for those days I just want concealer and powder, it helps me minimize the look of pores! It's going to take me awhile to finish this sample size but I'm definitely purchasing the full size during the VIB Rouge Sale.

This is available at Sephora.
Price: $34 CAD (full size)

Dior Addict Lip Glow- Lilac

This is the newest addition to the Dior Addict Lip Glow line, I knew I had to get it when it came out. I now have all 3 color from the line: pink, orange and lilac. I have been using this a ton, like other lip glows, the color also adjust according to your temperature; therefore the colour is always natural looking. The colour is a little mauve-y which looks better on me compared to the original pink one! This originally came out as a limited edition shade but I think it no longer is limited edition. I would still purchase a back up during the sale, just in case!

Available at Dior counters, Dior.com, Sephora
Price: $40 CAD

The FaceShop Mini Pet Perfume Hand Cream- 04 Fruity Floral

I don't think I've ever talked about hand cream. I'm really not a hand cream person, I don't like the feeling of hand cream on my hand and leaving marks on my keyboard, phone or mirror. However, I happened to walk into the Face Shop, a Korean beauty store, and I saw this super cute packaging. Each "pet" has a different scented hand cream. I wasn't quite sure what animal this is, I even asked the sales associate whether this was a puppy or a cat. Anyways, I tried a little of the hand cream on the back of my hand and was amazed by how quickly it absorbs into the skin. Also, it does not have the after feeling, the formula is really light weight. The scent is fresh and not too sweet, fruity and floral like the name suggests. The only down side is that I can't really carry this in smaller bags, and I think this is the type of hand cream you might need to reapply after a few hours. For $8 I think it's awesome!

Available at The FaceShop
Price: $8 CAD

Chanel Le Blanc Light Creator Brightening Makeup Base

I don't think I need to say more about this, I talked about this in my last favourite too. I'm still loving it, especially when color correcting is so on trend right now! SPF is also great for the little "summer" weather we have in Vancouver right now! I will link my February Favourites at the end of this post if you want to check it out.

I hope you enjoyed, let's get really for the Sephora VIB sale!!! It' happening next week!! When I saw the email about the sale, my first reaction was "just take my money Sephora, just take it". Hopefully I don't spend wayyyyy too much money this time! What's on your wishlist? Is there anything you want me to try? Anyways, I hope this month will be awesome for you!

Yours Truly,

Ting
