[Unboxing] Burberry Beauty Box

Hello!

This is a super cute set from Burberry, and I believe this was exclusive to Sephora. I know this is no longer available but I thought I should share this set anyways. Unless you check Sephora's website almost every single day, you probably didn't even know it existed. Anyways Here we go!

Look at this...so adorable!

I believe Burberry beauty became available on Sephora last year or so, and when they came out with the mini set it was initially only available for VIB Rouge members ( Yup, there was a time I wasn't a VIB Rouge), and it sold out before it became available for everyone else. :( Couple weeks ago, I was browsing the website and spotted this set on a whim, with no second thought I clicked into it to the page to make my order...but but but it was "SOLD OUT!" I was so upset because I thought I missed out again. I keep refreshing the page through out the evening, and finally see that it was available. So it turns out to be a funny story, I was so early, that I tried to order it before it "became available".

Okay here's the set.

|What's in this set? |
- Light Glow Blush in Cameo No. 2
- Travel kabuki/ blush brush with a little velvet pouch
- Lip Velvet Lipstick in Rosewood No.2
- Fresh Glow (Highlighter fluid)- Nude Radiance No. 1

Swatch: Blush and Lipstick

|Thoughts?|

They are pretty miniature. I love this set because I Burberry beauty is not available in stores at Sephora, so this allows me to try out the brand without committing to full size products. Plus, I can never finish a lipstick or a blush, so the size is pretty good for me. I have to mention the quality of the blush's packaging because it is not cheap plastic. It is literally the mini version of the blush, the packaging is dense and does have some weight. LOVE IT! P.S. the lighting wasn't too great that day, it appears much more washout and cool-toned in the photo.

What's your thoughts of this set? Will you purchase it next time?

Yours Truly,

Ting

[Collection] Part 7: Line 'em Lips 2016

Hello,

We are almost at the end of my entire makeup collection. Phew...Okay for Part 7, I am sharing my lip liners collection. This post will be a short one but spoiler alert, next part will be the lipsticks. (it's going to be crazy!)

Marc Jacobs-Poutliner Longwear Lip Liner Pencil ( Primrose 304  )
  • This is such a pretty nude/ pink color! The color is long lasting, it doesn't slide around on the lips. I find it a little dry when I apply it all over the lips, so I don't recommend wearing this on its own.

June IPSY Glambag Unboxing

Hello,

It's our monthly IPSY unboxing! Again I barely saw any sneak peak from IPSY this month, all I saw was the pattern of the makeup bag. Let's get started!

Here's a picture of the bag...

Not a big fan of this month's bag, just too much for me...

Here are the products...

1. ColourPop Cosmetics- Crème Gel Liner in Swerve

The shade in Swerve is a smokey sultry black color. I haven't tried it on my eyes because when I tried it on the back of my hand it's not super black and it smudges. I'll have to try it on my lids to test out how it wears.

2. Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Lounge

I've always wanted to try this shade because it looks so cool! The color changes under different lighting. This shade in Lounge, has a reddish/ brown look and under some light it looks teal and green, the shade is pretty shimmery. However, like other urban decay eye shadow, the shimmer particle is not chunky but gives a really pretty glow.

3. Boo- Boo Cover-up Concealer

I don't know anything about this brand. According to IPSY, it can cover "Dark circles, bug bites, scars, wounds, acne and more" And that it has tea tree oil to help treat acne and reduce redness. Also the aloe vera and chamomile soothe your rough spots. I haven't test it out yet, but my first impression is not that great because it's wayyyyy to light for my skin tone. We'll see!

4. Seraphine Botanicals- Happy Hibiscus Blush

This is a pretty rose-y shade blush, with minimal shimmer. This is said to be constructed with 99% natural ingredient, the shade should be universally flattering and lasts up to 8 hours. I've only swatched this on my hand, but the color is so pretty!!! I'll put an update when I wear it on my cheeks and test out how long it stays.

5. BioRepublic SkinCare- Fiber Mask Set (Pomegranate crush and cucumber breeze)

I have nothing to say about the masks because I can't swatch it, so I'll update on here once I tried these masks.

Here's a swatches of the products. From left to right, urban decay eye shadow, happy hibiscus blush, Colourpop eyeliner, boo-boo cover up concealer (see how light that the concealer is!)

So far, I really like the fact that this bag is makeup focused, lately my IPSY bag contains more makeup! Sorry, this is really more of an unboxing. I have been super busy, and I just wanted to show you what I received in my bag but I haven't had the chance to try them out. I will add the updates after I test out the products.

Yours Truly,

Ting

[Collection] Part 6: Eyeliners, Brows, Single Shadow Collection 2016

Hello,

I hope you are enjoying my collection so far. This time I don't really have a clever name for this category, basically everything to do with the eye makeup except the eyeshadow palettes. There are quite a lot of products in this categories, lets get started!

Eyeliners

[Collection] Part 5: Mascara Collection 2016

Hello,

Welcome to part 5 of my collection. Today I'm sharing with you my current mascara collection. I'm so surprised I have this many mascaras, I don't even use mascara that often. My struggle with mascara is that, my lashes are really soft and stubborn. My lashes fall back down after applying mascara. Even though it looks like I have a lot of mascaras, but I'm almost done with some of them here. Name with a * will be out of my collection within 2 weeks.

[Collection] Part 4: Bronzers, Highlighters and Blushes Collection 2016

Hello,

Hmm...part 4...I actually do have way too much make up. I always know I have a lot, but when I take them all out, categorize them, and carefully go through the whole collection; I was really surprised and overwhelmed by how much I have. Through the process I discovered several products I totally forgot about. I encourage you all to go through your collection, take out expired products, giveaway products you don't use, you might discover some old favorites you forgot about. Okay, let's get started.

Bronzers and Highlighters

Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer (in Park Avenue Princess)

Benefit Watt's UP
  • I'm not a big fan of this product, I find that it clings on to my dry patches. Especially on my nose where it tends to flake up, this product only enhances the look of the dryness. The color is beautiful tho, I just don't like how it applies on me.
Benefit Dandelion Shy Beam
  • I like this one more than the Watt's Up. It adds such a beautiful glow without looking shimmery/ glittery. It truly looks like a natural glow
Chanel- Lumiere Highlighting Blush (in 12 Coups De Minuit)
Smashbox- Step by Step Contour Kit

  • As you can see the contour shade on the very left has hit pan because I love it so much. I also love how natural looking the highlighter looks. Again, not glitters/ shimmers it just brightens up the area you applied it to. As of the bronzer in the center, I don't remember using it at all. I wish I can just purchase a refill of the contour shade.
Blushes

Left to right: color pop-> Nars

Colour pop- Super shock cheek (in Fox)
  • Here's a link 1 to the posts I talked about this blush
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush (in Blissful)
  • By now you are probably familiar with Tarte's blushes. Easily blendable, last all day and with beautiful color. This one here is the newest to my collection and the formula is just the like otheres.
Benefit BeneTint
  • I don't really reach for this anymore. I find it hard to use on the cheeks as it dries too fast and often time it leaves a red/ unblended mark on my face. The color is really pretty and it smells really good, I prefer to use them on my lips instead of cheeks.
Chanel- Sunkiss Ribbon Blush
  • check out my review of the blush here
Chanel- Cream Blush (in 65 Affinite)
  • I'm sad that Chanel discontinued their cream blushes. This shade is so natural as it gives the illusion of your natural blush after a work out or being in the cold. A little goes a long way with this formula but it can be blended out really easily, so don't worry if you accidentally put on too much.
Nars Blush (in Orgasm)
  • This is supposedly Nars best selling blush. I have to say, I agree, the color is gorgeous. However,  I hardly use it because it is super glittery, I can't handle it!
That is all for the part 4 of my makeup collection. As you probably noticed, my most used from the bronzer/ highlighter categories are the Smashbox step by step contour kit and the Chanel highlighting blush (actually a highlight) and my most used blush has to be the Colour Pop blush.

May 2016 Favorites

Hello!

Wow , we are done with May already?! Lots of things happened in May both good and bad but I'm glad June is finally coming! Also Happy 1st Birthday to my blog!! :) Anyways, since I've been on a no buy, I really didn't purchase any makeup (well, except for IPSY subscription) so I don't really have any new makeup/ skincare favorite. I rediscovered some older favorites while I was decluttering/ documenting my collection. Starting this month I will also include my fav snack or lifestyle favorites in my monthly favorite posts. Let's get started.

[Collection] Part 3: All About That Face 2016

Hello,

I hope you are enjoying my collection series so far. Part 3 of my collection continues to be about face makeup products, so this post will include primers, concealers, and powders. Let's get started right away!

(P. S. I added * to products I'm almost done with)

Primers

*1) Smashbox- Photo Finish Oil Free Foundation Primer

  • It's a pore filling primer, it works really well. It's just like Benefit's porefessional except this is completely clear.

*2) Avance+ Mattifying Emulsion- Pore Refiner

  • It smells awesome! I'm not quite sure if this is just skincare. I will reach for this when my face is dry and my pores are really visible.

3) MUFE- Step1 Hydrating Primer
  • This is great during winter when my face is extra dry, it prevents my skin from flaking without being oily
4) Estee Lauder- Matte Perfecting Primer

  • Like the name suggested, it's a mattifying primer. It is pretty hydrating though, it feels really nice on the skin. I don't think it actually mattify my skin through out the day.

5) Maybelline- Baby Skin Instant Pink Transformer

  • This is really different from all other primers I have, it's actually pink. It brightens up the complexion and has SPF. I also don't reach for this, I guess it doesn't really wow me.

6) Estee Edit- Pore Vanishing Stick
  • My new favorite primer, it glides on so smoothly and fills up my pores. I included this in a couple of my favorites, you can check out my review there.
7) Chanel- Le Blanc Light Creator Brightening Makeup Base
  • Click here for my short review on this primer
*8) Smashbox- 24 hour photo finish shadow primer

  • I find the formula quite thick. Nothing much to say about it because I don't usually put primer on my lids.

Concealers

1) Maybelline Cover Stick

  • It is really creamy and coverage is really good. However, this shade does not match me that well, too light on me!

2) Bobbi Brown- Creamy Concealer Kit (Warm Ivory)

  • It is super creamy and has great coverage. It melts into the skin easily, I recommend applying this with your fingers so the product will melt into the skin faster and more even. Also, because it is a cream product so I make sure I set it with powder properly.

3) Cover Girl+ Olay- Eye Concealer

  • I don't reach for this product at all. The color is orange based which allows the dark circles to be covered easily. Other than that, I don't find this concealer too special.

*4) Rimmel London- Match Perfection Concealer and highlighter (shade 230 Fair/ Light)
  • My all time favorite concealer, and it is super affordable too!

Powders

1) Rimmel London- Stay Matte Press Powder (Translucent)

  • As you can see, the whole thing is beat up. The lid broke in half, the writings on the cover was rubbed off. The powder hit pan awhile ago, but till now I still can't finish it. The only thing I don't like is the packaging, other than that I love this powder!

2) Etude House- Dreaming Swan Veiling Pact SPF 25

  • Honestly, I bought this for the packaging. This is from the swan lake collection from Etude house. It's just a normal blotting powder nothing fancy.

3) ELF Cosmetics- Tone Correcting Powder (Cool)

  • Another powder I really like is this ELF tone correcting powder. It evens out my skin tone nicely, and the powder is pretty smooth. This was only $3!

There you go, all about that face! I hope you enjoyed this post, I have quite a lot of primers and I choose them based on the needs of my skin that day but I usually use pore erasing/ filling primers. As for concealer, my favorite has always been the Rimmel London one from the drug store. I finished at least 3 tubes, and every time I buy a new one the packaging changes. My favorite setting powders are also from the drug store, again Rimmel London and also the ELF powder. I've gone through 2 of the ELF powder already!

May IPSY Glam Bag Unboxing

Hello!

I finally received my Glam bag few days ago! This month, I barely saw any sneak preview of the products from IPSY's Instagram. I only saw a preview of what the bag looks like and I got so excited. Let's get started.

This bag is so unique. It looks like an envelope instead of the usual zippered makeup bag. I think the theme this month is about traveling so the pattern on the bag consists of famous landmarks. The bag comes in three different colors, mine is in the pink one. Super cute!

[Collection] Part 1: Eyeshadow Palettes 2016

Hello,

This is Part 1 of my makeup collection. There will be a slight change to my collection posts, my original plan was to share my collection through brands. I then realized for many brands I actually only have one product each, so I decided to divide the post by categories now! Anyways, today is all about my eyeshadow palettes. It's going to be a short one, I don't have that many palettes but these are more than enough!

Urban Decay Naked 3

I think this might be my first high end palette! I just couldn't resist the beautiful rosey shades. The colors are so beautiful to look at but honestly, I don't usually reach for this palette :(

April 2016 Favorites

Happy May!

For the first time in forever, I actually feel like April was really long. I guess because I was really busy all through out April. Anyways, let's recap on the products I was loving during April.

[Review] Burberry Kisses Sheer Lipstick

Hi all,

If you read my recent Sephora haul, you know I finally got my first Burberry lipstick! I have been wanting to purchase one since last year, but I never got a chance to get it. One of the reasons was because Sephora does not carry the Burberry line in stores and it is really hard to find a beauty counter that carries them to test out the color. I know the Nordstrom in Vancouver and some The Bay carries it but it is very hard to swatch out the colors when the sales associate is just standing next to you and stare. To my understanding, the Burberry beauty line is quite new, there are not much swatches, reviews of the products which makes it even harder to purchase online. This time around, I decided to just go for it, so here's what I think about it.

Burberry has four different lipstick lines, there's the Kisses Lipstick, Full Kisses, Kisses Sheer, and Lip Velvet Lipstick. They range from $31~$38 CAD. The one I picked up was from the Kisses Sheer line in the color No.253 Pomegranate. Let's get started!

1) Special Ingredient

Infused with Burberry’s signature of rosehip, tea and lavender formula, the lightweight gel formula offers lasting hydration and flatters all skintones..

[Collection] My Chanel Beauty Collection 2016

Hello!

I was asked to share my makeup collection, I don't have that big of a collection like the Youtubers but for an average person, I do have way too much makeup. (Shame) Anyways, I decided to split the collection up by brands. Let's kick it off with my (fast growing) Chanel Collection. Many of Chanel's collections are limited edition, and honestly I think that's the reason why my collection is growing so fast.  I'll put a little *sign for those products that were limited editions or items that you can no longer find.

This is going to be a long post but here we go....
An overview, there's a few products that are not in the picture.

April IPSY Glam Bag Unboxing

Hello,

It is that time of the month again, my Ipsy bag is finally here. The theme this month is about dreamers though I don't understand the connections between the theme and the products I received. Anyways, let's get started!

First let's look at the bag, I think the quality of the bag is pretty nice this month, does not feel cheap at all. The color is beautiful, it looks like a tie-dye pattern with bright colors.

[Haul] Sephora VIB Sale + Chanel Beauty

Hello!

As you probably know, Sephora had their Spring VIB sale. It was 15% for VIB Rouge and VIB members! I picked up a couple things from the sale and also a few things from Chanel.

Let's start with the things I got from Sephora.

For VIB Rouge members, you might have received this beautiful Sephora tote with your purchase in store during the first day of the sale. This tote is so much better than the past few sales. The material is more sturdy and the design is just adorable.

[Unboxing] Sephora Favorites Paint it Pink Kit

Hello,

I am really excited to share this Sephora value kit with you! Sephora comes out with new value kits sporadically, and it sells out FAST! I wasn't sure if I should still do an unboxing it of the kit since it sold out within a day. The kit didn't even make it to the usual page, under "Sephora favorites". Anyways, I decided to still share with you because 1) You can pick up the products individually 2) It might show up again 3) It might be in stores in the future( ?!) My past experience with the "Give me Nude lips kit" was that it sold out before I knew about the kit but now it's available in stores again. Hopefully this kit does too!

Let's get started.

The theme of this"Paint it Pink" kit, like the name suggested, everything is "pink". Also, price listed are for full size products.

A picture of the kit

A picture of all the products

Before I get into the products, I really want to thank Sephora for the awesome packaging! This box is so beautiful and sturdy, I can definitely use this as a storage box, The lid flips outward so you don't have to fuzz around it.The floral and pink color is just so beautiful. Now the question is, what should I use this box for?

March 2016 Favorites

Hello April!

The weather has been great the past few weeks here in Vancouver!! I feel like it's time to change up my makeup. skin care routine!! April is going to crazy, finals are coming up but it also mean Summer is coming!!!! Anyways, here's what I have been loving in March.

Simple Replenishing Moisturizer

Sometimes, all you need is the basics.  I like how sanitary it is, I don't have to dig my fingers in the products. I love how there's no scent. It is also not greasy,  has no after feeling. However, it does get its job done. Long story short, you put it on ->you won't feel that it's on but you see the results. I have sensitive and dehydrated skin, I find that it absorbs quickly into my skin, and my face does not have any reaction to it. I really enjoy a more lightweight, liquid-y formula especially in the mornings and also during warmer days!

March IPSY Glam Bag Unboxing

Hello!

Third IPSY bag of the year!! I know I missed the February Glam bag, but honestly, I don't feel motivated to post the bag when I'm not that happy with the bag. What do you think? Should I also talk about disappointing months? Anyways, you probably guessed, I'm pretty happy with this month's bag. First of all, I really like the bag itself! I really like the color contrast on the bag. This month there are 3 different color combination of the bag, and I'm so glad I got this one!

Marc Anthony Argan Oil Blow Dry Smoothing Cream

I don't usually use any hair care products, but I have been wanting to try this for a long time. I was hoping the argan oil can help smooth out the ends of my hair. However, I can't stand the smell of this product, it's too strong and sweet. I'll be passing this along to my friends.

Full Size: 6.76 OZ (200ml) for about $9.46 CAD
Sample size I received: 1.69oz which is about $2.37CAD ($1.8 USD)

Model Co. Lip Lacquer in Socialite

The color is rich and gorgeous, it's a coral and strawberry color. It stains the lip,so it last for a long time.It smells/ taste like strawberry candy. However, it is SUPER sticky, I would enjoy this product more if it isn't this sticky.

This product is available on Modelcocosmetics.com. The full size is $24 USD, about 5ml, but my sample size is 1.5 ml so about $7.2 USD.

Some swatches: Illamasqua liner (left,), Model Co. lip laquer (Right)

Illamasqua Precision Ink Eye Liner Liquide

This is my favorite product in the bag. I have been hearing so much about Illamasqua through beauty gurus on Youtube, but I never had the chance to try it out. I'm so excited I received this in the bag this month. As a first timer with long "handle" liquid eyeliner, this is surprisingly easy to use. I usually use the liquid eyeliners from Stila. The liner goes on smooth and it does not transfer on to the upper lids even when I blink my eyes right after application. It stays on without smudging. However, you can't remove the liner with just cleansing water, you need a oil based (waterproof) makeup remover. I want to try more products from Illamasqua!

This is a full size 1.8ml product! It is $39.95 CAD ($30.29 USD) on it's website.

Be a Bombshell Baked Bronzer in Heat Wave

I am honestly quite disappointed with this product. It looks beautiful as a highlighting bronzer/ blush in the pan, but nothing really shows up when I swatch it. I tried to pick up the color with my fingers but it is still very subtle, I couldn't really tell if the product was on my cheeks. I've received a couple products from Be a bombshell Cosmetics before and they have been great. I'm not sure why this isn't showing up as well, but I'm going to play around with it a bit more because the color looks so gorgeous in the pan.

This product can be found on beabombshellcosmetics.com. The full size retails for $16 USD. Again, I believe the one I received was a full size, which is .23 oz!

Manna Kadar Fantasy 3-in-1 Blush Highlighter Eyeshadow

The last product in the bag is a 3-in-1 cool product! It is a universal shade that can be used as a highlighter, blush or eye shadow! You know how I like products that serves multiple purposes! The color is so beauty and it's quite pigmented!  One thing I don't like about this product is the packaging, I know screwed on lids is more secure, especially if you plan on traveling with this; however, for daily use it is sometimes annoying to screw the lid off and then put it back on if you are in a hurry. Other than that, I really love it!

I believe you can only find this product on mannakadarcosmetics.com. The full size retails for $19 USD and once again I think I got a  full size (0.1 OZ) ! Yay!

When I saw this product it actually reminds me of a couple other products I have in my collection, an eye shadow from Urban Decay (Sin) and a eye shadow pigment from Pixi. So I put them together and swatched it. In the second picture (swatches),  the center one is the Manna Kadar one, the one on the left is Pixi and the one on the far right is Urban Decay Sin. As you can see, the shade of the Manna Kadar one is very close to the Pixi one, whereas the finishes of the shawdow is the same as the Urban decay one. It gives a slight metallic look without being too overpowering!

The total value of this bag is $74.29 USD which is more than the $10 bag+ Canadian shipping + currency conversion! The value of the bag was great! I am also really happy how 4/5 products are makeup products! I am a little disappointed with a few products; however I really love the Illamasqua Eyeliner and the Manna Kadar 3 in 1 blush, eye shadow, highlighter. Also the bag itself is super cute!!!! I think it was still an awesome month for me!

I am still rating this bag with a 4/5 !!!

❤️❤️❤️❤️

Ting
